UPDATED: JULY 29, 2024
Dear Friends of the Salina Chorale,
The Salina Chorale finished its 44th season of active singing with the 2024 spring concert.
We were excited to work with our beloved director Bill Tuzicka, while preparing for and presenting our final choral performance under his direction on Sunday, April 21, 2024, prior to retirement from leading the Salina Chorale. Our 2024 spring concert was presented at the Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts in downtown Salina, Kansas.
We are very pleased that current members, and many former and new members of the Salina Chorale, joined us for this final concert semester with Bill. We love how diligently he worked with us, inspiring us as he regaled us with personal anecdotes and stories about the songs he chose for us to sing, and shaping and molding us as choral singers. To know more about him, visit the Bill Tuzicka Tribute page. He is one of a kind, and we wish Bill and his soprano singing wife Susan all the best as they move to Iowa to be near family.
For this fall, we were again able to secure the use of the same rehearsal space on Monday evenings, starting Aug. 19, 2024, in the Multi-Purpose Room of Sunrise Presbyterian Church located at 825 E. Beloit Avenue, with an entrance to their parking lot on Republic Avenue. .For further details about singing with us, please see our "Sing With Us" page.
Our talented community singers have been amazing for their enthusiasm and dedication. And his last hurrah for Bill and the Salina Chorale this spring will be a concert for all of us to remember for a long time. As for the members of the Chorale, we have been enjoying a final semester of Bill's jokes and anecdotes with us in rehearsal.
And we send a shout of thanks to our long-term and returning sponsors for staying with us and sustaining us through changes and difficult times. We hope that you will give us your support once again. Thank you so much for your consideration.
To the rest of you, our wonderful audience members for our performances, we are grateful for your attendance, your applause and your appreciation for what we do. It was an honor and great pleasure to present this 2024 spring concert for you.

We are excited to have our new director of the Salina Chorale, Keri Boley, to lead us for her first semester this fall as we prepare for our next "Carols of Christmas" concert, now officially scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Because of the later start time than in past years, we will not have the Cathedral host a cookie reception for us. Adults are $15, High School Students are $10, and younger children are admitted free!
This year, we will not be serving as chorus for the now bi-annual Salina Symphony"s Christmas Festival concerts, as those will next be presented in December 2025. This year, instead, the Symphony will be performing Tchaikovsky's "The Nutracker" at 4pm on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024.
Our "Carols of Christmas" tickets are now available for purchase from Salina Chorale members, until Monday, November 25, the week before the concert, and then admission can be purchased on concert day, Dec. 1, in the Sacred Heart Cathedral lobby before the concert. Again, Adults are $15, High School Students are $10, and younger children are admitted free!
Hoping you will join us for this wonderful performance, live and in person. And visit our "Director-Accompanist" page for information about our new music director, Keri Boley.
