Do You Love Singing in a Choir?

The Salina Chorale is dedicated to its 60+ year mission of enriching our community and region through the joy of singing and creating beautiful choral music together.

We invite you to join us for our upcoming concert.

START OF SPRING 2026 REHEARSALS -- MONDAY, JAN. 12, 2026.

We are well underway with our Fall 2025 rehearsals for the 2025 "Carols of Christmas" concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.  We invite you to come to Sacred Heart Cathedral and celebrate the start of the holiday season with us.

We will also join with the KWU Philharmonic Choir as the chorus for the Salina Symphony Christmas Festival performances on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. at the Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts in downtown Salina, Kansas. 

BUT... if you want to sing with us, mark your 2026 calendar for the start of Spring semester rehearsals on Monday evening Jan. 12, 2026, at Sunrise Presbyterian Church, 825 E. Beloit Avenue, Salina, KS. Help set up at 6:30 p.m,, everyone be there by 6:45 p.m. to sign in, pick up music and hear announcements. DETAILS ABOUT REHEARSALS ARE SHARED BELOW. 

Our 2026 Spring Concert will be presented at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 118 N 9th Street in downtown Salina, Kansas. 

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

The Salina Chorale is a community chorus dedicated to promoting choral music, open to all adults who love singing ensemble music. 

• No auditions are required for adult singers

• High school juniors and seniors may join if they are members of their high school choir.

• Freshmen and sophomores may join with the director’s approval, based on vocal maturity and suitability for the required repertoire and vocal ranges.

REHEARSING ON MONDAY EVENINGS AT: 

Sunrise Presbyterian Church Multi-Purpose Room 

825 E. Beloit Avenue, Salina, KS

From the parking lot, enter through the two sets of double glass doors, then turn right and go through the Multi-Purpose Room all the way to the back area.

• If you are able to help, please arrive at 6:30 p.m. to set up chairs and move the piano. 

• If you’re cannot help with setup, please arrive by 6:45 p.m. to sign in, receive new music, and listen to announcements. Rehearsal begins promptly at 7 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. without a break.

• After rehearsal, please stay to help reset the room and return the piano to the adjacent room.

• Be sure to bring your music in a binder each week, and arrive on time to help set up and be ready for announcements before rehearsal starts.

DUES

Dues are $40 per semester for all Salina Chorale singers

REHEARSALS

• Rehearsals are Monday nights, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. without a break.

(Arrive by 6:45 p.m. for announcements and preparation torehearse)

• Sometime during the two weeks prior to the concert, a dress rehearsal will be scheduled in our performance venue, in addition to our regular Monday rehearsal.

MEMBER CONTACT INFORMATION:

• New Members: When joining the Chorale, please make sure to provide your contact information on the SIGN-IN SHEETS at the beginning of rehearsal. 

• Returning Members: Please check for any outdated details we have for you in our files, and kindly make corrections using the SIGN-IN SHEETS so we have the most up-to-date information for each of you.

CONCERT DRESS:

• Women: A black top or blouse (long sleeves preferred, or a black over-jacket in the fall), a long black skirt or pants, black shoes, and black hosiery.

• Men: A black suit (a tuxedo jacket with black pants is acceptable), a black long-sleeve dress shirt, black shoes, black socks, and a black long tie. For the spring concert, men may wear a black shirt without a tie or jacket.

MUSIC FOLDERS: 

Members supply their own black, 1 inch, three-ring binder.

ALLERGIES: 

Be aware that some members are highly sensitive to fragrances and pet dander. Please refrain from using fragrances and “wearing” pet fur.
